Band Bio

The Twitches started as a duo in New Orleans, LA in Jan 2005. In it’s original incarnation The Twitches consisted of Darl Herman and Jon Hise, who have been bandmates for the last 17 years. They both grew up playing heavy metal and rock throughout the years in Chattanooga, TN; and they formed The Twitches after migrating to New Orleans. The Twitches is a fusion of folk rock, goth and punk with a flair for the dark and decaying. The first record, “I Don’t Know What I’ll Do”, was recorded entirely at their house in New Orleans, LA acoustically with a DAT machine and a MAC. The second album, “Lonely Ghosts and Forgotten Cemeteries”, was recorded at Guest Room Studios in Charlottesville, VA with the Darl and 2 incredible engineers who provided the keyboards, accordion, and backup vocals.
